TIPS FOR ON CAMERA ATTIRE
Our goal at the Inland Empire Media Group is to make "on camera" talent look their best. The following is a list of SUGGESTED ATTIRE DO's and DONT's:
-TRY NOT TO WEAR WHITE: The camera has a problem balancing tone when you wear white suits or outfits. White shirts or blouses are OK.
-Try not to wear narrow stripes or small patterns in your attire. The camera has a problem reading the above mentioned patterns and tend to make them fuzzy.
-Try to stay away from bright colors such as red, pink or yellow. Bright colors tend to take the viewer's eyes away from your face.
-Women should try not to wear jewelry that will flash or sparkle when light hits it.
-Women should only wear light street make-up.
-Women should avoid dark nail polish.
-Women should avoid glossy lipstick.
-Men should be clean shaven. Five o'clock shadow makes the face look dirty under low light level.
-Men should use long socks. Flashes of the leg when trouser cuffs pull up is distracting.
-Try to maintain a professional demeanor.
-Try to remember that the camera has a limited field of view. When you move your hands up to your face area during lull periods, it can be distracting to the event.
-Try to remember that when someone else is speaking, the camera might be taking a close up of you.
